Overview

Occasionally a partner will need to cancel or modify an active Weather Guarantee on behalf of a customer. Sensible Weather has restrictions in place on cancellations and modifications to minimize manipulation of Weather Guarantees. We have the following requirements regarding Weather Guarantees:

  • Weather Guarantees must always be tied to an active reservation. If a customer cancels or modifies their reservation before it begins, the Weather Guarantee must also be canceled or modified.
  • Weather Guarantees are linked to the reservation’s specific price, location, and dates. If any of these change, the Weather Guarantee must be updated (see Customer modifies their booking for exceptions).
  • Weather Guarantees cannot be canceled independently. They can only be canceled and refunded when the underlying reservation is also canceled.
  • Weather Guarantees cannot be canceled or modified once the reservation has started.
