Guideline Summary

Before the Weather Guarantee Starts

• If the underlying reservation is canceled → Cancel Guarantee
  • Refund the cost of the Weather Guarantee (whoever is Merchant of Record will issue the refund)
  • Partners must use the refund_amount returned in the API response
• If the underlying reservation is modified → Modify Guarantee
  • If Modify Guarantee is not used, Cancel Guarantee and give customers the opportunity to rebook the Weather Guarantee via Create Guarantee Quote.
  • Partner must pass reason == “modification" into the cancellation endpoint.
  • Customers must be informed that their Weather Guarantee will be canceled if they modify.

Once the Weather Guarantee Starts

• Weather Guarantees cannot be canceled.
• Weather Guarantees cannot be modified.
